Pluies et orages : L’ANACIM prévoit un week-end mouvementé
The National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM) announces a progressive deterioration of weather conditions in Senegal over the next 72 hours, with rain and thunderstorms expected to spread to several parts of the country.
According to weather bulletin no. 134, valid from Thursday, July 23 at 12:00 PM to Sunday, July 26 at 12:00 AM, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the south of the country over the next 24 hours. These rains could also affect the central-southern regions, particularly Kaolack and Fatick.
In other areas, the sky will be mostly cloudy. Starting Friday, rain and thunderstorms could move eastward, particularly in the Matam region.
The situation is expected to deteriorate further on Saturday. Rain and thunderstorms could then affect the entire country, with locally heavy to very heavy rainfall forecast for the south and center of the country.
In terms of temperature, the humid heat is expected to persist across the entire region for the next 48 hours. However, a significant drop in temperatures is expected starting Saturday.
ANACIM also forecasts generally good visibility across the country. Winds will blow from the west to southwest throughout the territory.
