Prévisions météorologiques : des activités pluvio-orageuses attendues dans le Sud et le Centre
Rain and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and overnight in several regions of Senegal, according to the forecasts of the National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM) "for the very short term valid from August 8, 2026 at 12:00 to August 9, 2026 at 12:00".
The southern regions will be particularly affected, notably Kédougou, Tambacounda, Bakel, Kolda, Sédhiou and Ziguinchor. "These rain and thunderstorm events could also spread locally to the central regions, particularly to Kaffrine, Kaolack, Fatick, Diourbel, Thiès, Mbour, Linguère and Louga," reads the statement received by Seneweb.
Furthermore, "a feeling of heat will be felt across much of the country. Maximum temperatures could reach 36 to 39°C in the central, northern, and eastern regions. However, relatively milder weather is expected in Kédougou and Tambacounda."
"Visibility will remain generally good across the country. Winds, from the Northwest to West, will blow lightly to moderately" across the entire territory.
