Nécrologie à Oussouye : Décès de Aly Ngoné Diop « Vieux Diop », premier directeur de Kabisseu FM
The community of Oussouye and the world of regional media are plunged into sadness after the death, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, of Aly Ngoné Diop, affectionately known as "Old Diop", the first director of the community radio station Kabisseu FM, who was buried yesterday, Thursday, August 6, in Oussouye.
Aly Ngoné Diop will be remembered as a great voice of radio, a builder and a visionary. Recognized for his professionalism and passion, he left his mark on an entire generation by passing on the love of the microphone and inspiring many presenters, journalists and technicians.
Under his leadership, Kabisseu FM established itself as a community radio station, dedicated to local development and the promotion of local cultures. The program "Village à la Une" (Village in the Spotlight), which he initiated, remains a powerful legacy: it allowed the radio station to travel throughout the villages of Kassa, giving a voice to the people and highlighting their realities and concerns.
Today, Oussouye loses an iconic figure, but his legacy continues to resonate. The staff of Kabisseu FM, his former colleagues, and the entire community pay tribute to him and offer their sincerest condolences to his family, loved ones, and friends.
“Your voice has been silenced, but your legacy will continue to resonate on the airwaves of Kabisseu FM and in the hearts of those you inspired,” reads the tribute note from the team of the local radio station in Oussouye on social media.
