Affaire ASER / AEE Power EPC : Passe d'armes sur les réseaux entre Thierno Alassane Sall et Amadou Ba
The ASER / AEE Power EPC affair has once again entered the political debate, through a heated exchange between Thierno Alassane Sall and the Pastef deputy, Amadou Ba.
In a publication, the president of La République des Valeurs accused the majority of "duplicity", claiming that the Pastef deputies had refused, for more than a year, to examine what he calls the "ASER / AEE Power EPC scandal".
“The duplicity of the Pastef majority is no longer in doubt. For more than a year, its MPs refused to look into the enormous ASER/AEE POWER EPC scandal, which has left 1,600 villages without electricity and seen 37 billion [CFA francs] disappear to the four corners of the world. It is clear today that, for Pastef, there are two categories of scandals: those that must be stifled at all costs—ASER/AEE POWER EPC is one of them—and those from which they can hope to gain political advantage in their eternal internal squabble,” wrote Thierno Alassane Sall.
Amadou Ba's response came a few moments later. The majority party MP reiterated that the case now falls "exclusively" under the jurisdiction of the Financial Judicial Pool (PJF). He emphasized that the National Assembly's rules of procedure prohibit the creation of a parliamentary commission of inquiry when legal proceedings are underway concerning the same facts.
“Honorable Thierno Alassane Sall, the ASER case now falls EXCLUSIVELY under the jurisdiction of the Financial Judicial Pool. The organic law governing the internal regulations of the National Assembly FORMALLY PROHIBITS members of parliament from creating a commission of inquiry on a matter that is pending before the courts. The ASER case cannot be 'SURGTED' because the Financial Judicial Pool has decided to JOIN all complaints and proceedings and will hear from all parties involved,” responded Amadou Ba.
He continued: “The Financial Judicial Pool’s statement on the ASER case is public. Stop stating the obvious; the sword of justice will strike and enlighten public opinion. Justice has taken away your only argument as an opponent; we ask you to patiently await its verdict. You will have to find a new hobbyhorse to maintain your political relevance.”

Merde !merde !merde!
