Alioune Sow tire à boulets rouges sur la nouvelle configuration politique
After the years of tension that preceded the last change of power, Alioune Sow is worried to see the winning side mired in yet another confrontation. The former minister denounces a fratricidal political war, marked by accusations, shifts in allegiance, and the proliferation of factions. In a particularly critical opinion piece, Sow also condemns the "permanent election campaign" and believes that the third change of power has resulted in a "total ideological betrayal," to the point of suggesting that Benno is, in his view, back in power under a different name. Seneweb brings you the former minister's scathing attack.
"Fratricidal political warfare, a permanent election campaign, and Benno's early return to power"
After several years of riots, hatred and confrontations of rare violence which cost the lives of several of our compatriots, destruction of property and sacrosanct relationships, the change of power has prematurely led to a fratricidal political war between victors who all nevertheless answer under the name of "PATRIOTS" bearers of solutions that cannot be found and umbrellas to protect us from themselves.
Hearts bleed at a time when the news revolves around accusations and insinuations of extreme gravity, changes or renewals of political and ideological allegiances, counting, recounting and recounting of friends, adversaries, competitors and enemies and the ranking of major actors in the public space between camps of “Wa Fiitna”, “Wa Kiirlaay” and the “Others”.
The "Others," this last category apparently neglected by those who believe themselves to be fifty-year-old masters of the world, can nevertheless bring forth from its ranks the unexpected third thief of La Fontaine's fable concerning the disagreement over the fate to be reserved for the unduly acquired donkey: to keep it or to sell it.
At least, let's acknowledge a harsh reality: the third alternation has brought about more than an ideological deviation, it is a total ideological repudiation.
With that, we could have allowed Benno to officially remain in power, frankly, without resorting to a simple name change and the same methods, without any positive results for the people, despite the weaknesses and limitations inherent in all human endeavors. Benno is back. The alternation lasted a few months. The real alternative will follow, God willing.
Meanwhile, the aforementioned season of flourishing associations and other political and civic clubs is in full swing.
This is the time for haggling over wild beasts and domestic animals at the weekly market, marked by the re-emergence of bartering and auctions.
In politics too, not all additions are necessarily good and not all subtractions are obviously bad.
In politics, not all silences naturally signify capitulation, fear, or hesitation.
In theatre or cinema, whether it is a comedy or a tragicomedy on stage, the right posture is calm and a smile to know how to make good use of the actors' journey and the irreversible foreshadowing signs of the denouement of the play or film.
Oh Senegal, my beautiful country, this sequence of your evolution is also part of your great destiny with its ups and downs!
God bless Senegal, our beloved homeland!
