Après les propos du Premier ministre Al Amine Lô: le collectif « L’Heure est Grave pour la Casamance » appelle à des actes concrets sur la question du Pont Émile Badiane
Following the commemoration of the 24th anniversary of the sinking of the Le Joola boat, marked by Prime Minister Al Amine Lô's call for remembrance and national responsibility, the collective "The Hour is Grave for Casamance" reacted by insisting on the need to translate official words into tangible actions.
His communications officer, Landing Sané, explained that the choice of September 26th for the peaceful march was not accidental. "It was a deliberate choice, a symbolic one. It's simply to send a warning message and call on all Senegalese people, including the government, to reflect on what happened in 2002," he stated. For him, the commemoration should not be limited to a ritual of remembrance but should serve as a lesson to prevent future collective tragedies.
The group directly links this memory to the current struggle for the Émile Badiane Bridge, a vital infrastructure for opening up the Casamance region. Landing Sané points out that numerous promises have been made by the authorities but remain unfulfilled. "Things were said here, promises were broken, and today we remain perplexed by this. We heard what the Prime Minister said, but the only thing we ask is that these words translate into reality on the ground," he emphasized.
While affirming its respect for state authority, the group adopts a vigilant and critical stance. "We acknowledge the events, but with considerable detachment," concludes Sané, emphasizing that the memory of the Joola tragedy must be a catalyst for concrete action, not merely a commemorative ritual. For "L'Heure est Grave" (The Hour is Grave), the pain of 2002 can only be healed through responsible governance, the construction of infrastructure, and a genuine consideration of the needs of the Casamance region.

Sonko vous a tous utilisés. Les seuls servis en Casamance ce sont ses frères et sœurs de la famille Sonko des HLM Néma qui roulent en 4x4 et qui se sont tapés un supermarché.
