Audience au palais : des maires soutiennent la dynamique de transformation systémique portée par le président Faye
The mayors of the departments that carry significant weight in the electoral landscape (Mbour, Mbacké, Linguère) were received at the palace by the head of state.
Considered strongholds of the old parties, the elected officials want to lend their support to the dynamic of systemic transformation led by President Faye.
"By receiving these elected officials, the President is not making a trivial gesture. He is sending a clear message to the entire political class: the 'Diomaye President' coalition is not content with its achievements. It will seek victory on the opponent's turf, where elections are won and lost. These mayors did not come seeking favors; they came to lend their support to a vision. They understood that the winds of history are blowing with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and that the ongoing political realignment is a unique opportunity for their territories," reads a statement received by Seneweb.
Among these mayors are Seno Ba (Mayor of Dodji); Yoro Sow (Mayor of Ouarkhokh); Djibril Abass Sow (Mayor of Labgar); Samba Ba (Mayor of Tessékéré); Gory Ba (Mayor of Mboula); Birame Ba (Mayor of Kamb); Aboubacry Sow (Mayor of Boulal); Samba Ndiobène Ka (Mayor of Dahra); Cheikh Niang (Mayor of Affé Jolof); Assette Sow (Mayor of Déaly); Coumba Diaw (Mayor of Sagatta); Maham Ka (Mayor of Thiargny); Oumar Ka (Mayor of Gassane); Samba Hawa Ka (Mayor of Thiél); Ibrahima Baba Sall (Mayor of Bakel)
For the Bakel department, fifteen mayors joined the movement, these are Mansour Niang (Touba Mboul); Moustapha Mbacke (Missira); El Hadji Ba (Kael); Massamba Mbacke (Darou Salam Tip); Khadim Fall (Madina); Mamadou Demba Diouf (Dalla-Ngabou); Pap Abdoulaye Salane (Dendeye-Gouygui); El Hadji Gning (Touba Fall); Gallo Dia (Taïba-thiékéne); Abdoulahat Mbacke (Darounahim); Gallo Ba (Mbacké); Abdoulahat Ka (Touba); Fallou Dia (Ndioumane); Mbaye Tine (Taïf); Sheikh Gadiaga (Ngaye).
In the sixteen communes that make up the Mbour department, ten mayors will also lend their support to the presidential movement. These are Cheikh Issa Sall (Mbour); Dr. Tening Séne (Ndiaganiao, the President's home commune); Abdou Faye (Sessène); Omar Tine (Fissel Mbadane); Alpha Samb (Nguéniène); Thierno Diagne (Sindia); Pape Songo Diouf (Nguekokh); Ousmane Gueye (Saly); Saliou Diouf (Somone); and Mamadou Ndione (Diass).
"Beyond this symbol, all the mayors gathered yesterday affirmed their unwavering determination to support the systemic refounding policy undertaken by President Diomaye Faye. They pledged to carry out, on the ground, the reforms and ambitions of the new majority, convinced that change begins first and foremost with the territories," the note indicates.
