Bounkiling : Les contours de la visite du ministre Balla Moussa Fofana à Bona
The heavy rainfall that fell on the Sédhiou region did not prevent Minister Balla Moussa Fofana from carrying out his tour in the commune of Bona, in the department of Bounkiling.
The Minister of Urban Planning, Local Authorities and Territorial Development, Balla, highlighted the progress made in several sectors, including economic spaces, solar energy and mobility.
Thanks to a hybrid solar system, the village's well, which had been out of service for a long time, is now operational, making water affordable for everyone. The price per cubic meter of water has dropped from 400 to 175 CFA francs, a decrease that has significantly reduced household expenses and improved access to this essential resource.
The minister also praised the creation of an economic zone and the development of production tracks, which were also presented as levers for local development.
These infrastructures help to boost economic activity and facilitate the flow of agricultural products and the evacuation of patients to reference health facilities.
According to him, these investments contribute to a better organization of the territory and the promotion of local development.
The tour took place in the presence of administrative, political, religious and customary authorities.
The local people participated in the various stages of the visit and shared their concerns.
