« CICAD, comme au théâtre ! » : La colère d'Abass Fall après la rencontre des maires
The mayor of Dakar, Abass Fall, did not mince words after his visit to the CICAD. In a statement, he unequivocally condemned what he called an orchestrated "spectacle," denouncing a political performance far removed from the realities on the ground.
For the elected official from the Senegalese capital, the stage was set in advance. Abass Fall denounces a "sham mobilization with a hall filled with people transported for the occasion, while several legitimate mayors were prevented from entering."
Between pre-programmed speeches and an intervention by the representative of REELS deemed "without content", the substance of the debates seems to have deeply disappointed the mayor.
Behind this gathering, the mayor of Dakar sees primarily political maneuvers, pointing the finger at the attempts of the supervising minister to attract elected officials into a "stillborn coalition".
Exasperated by this charade and the disproportionate security measures deployed around him to hinder his movements, Abass Fall chose to boycott the end of the event. "The ticket cost too much, and we went home," he declared.
