Coalition Diomaye : Les coordinations de Fatick, Foundiougne et Gossas font bloc derrière le chef de l'État
The departmental coordinating bodies of the Diomaye President Coalition in Fatick, Foundiougne, and Gossas presented a united front at a strategic press conference held in Dakar. This high-level meeting was chaired by Serigne Ndiaye, Director General of the Urban Modernization Program (PROMOVILLES) and coordinator of the coalition in the Fatick department, alongside Aly Cissé (Foundiougne) and Abdou Diouf (Gossas). This gathering allowed the political leadership to conduct a thorough assessment of the situation in the region and to pledge their unwavering support for the priority projects launched by the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.
Serigne Ndiaye's rebuttal: "No major reform without the president's agreement"
The crucial issue of institutional reform was the focus of discussions among activists and media professionals. Speaking at the event, Serigne Ndiaye vigorously defended the current political trajectory, emphasizing that these structural changes stem directly from the comprehensive governance vision implemented by the Head of State since assuming the highest office. According to the Director General of PROMOVILLES, these reforms form the foundation of national transformation, with the aims of strengthening transparency, ensuring accountability, optimizing the administrative apparatus, and consolidating the rule of law.
In a particularly firm statement, the departmental coordinator of Fatick was keen to define the prerogatives of each member of the movement. He emphasized that no one could undertake or claim sponsorship of major institutional reforms without the prior approval and direct guidance of the President of the Republic, the latter remaining the ultimate guarantor of the institutions and the sole legitimate authority to define the course of public action.
A motion of support for the systemic transformation of the country
Beyond the institutional architecture, representatives from Fatick, Foundiougne and Gossas welcomed the first waves of government arbitrations, particularly in the key sectors of territorial development, agricultural sovereignty, social protection and the overhaul of public services.
In conclusion, Serigne Ndiaye urged activists to maintain a sustained mobilization on the ground to promote these reforms among the region's population. Coalition leaders reiterated their unwavering commitment to supporting President Bassirou Diomaye Faye in his mission to modernize the state and revitalize Senegalese democracy.
