« Copinage, lobbying et manque de respect » : Pourquoi le Dr Mansour Diop a claqué la porte de Pastef
The director general of Aristide Le Dantec Hospital, Dr. Mansour Diop, has broken his silence to explain the underlying reasons for his resignation from the Pastef party. In an interview with Seneweb, he points to a persistent unease within the party's internal structures, while also providing an update on the reconstruction project of the country's largest hospital.
The former party official also laments a profound lack of recognition and human solidarity from his political family. He cites the incident of his ambulance being seized during Ousmane Sonko's Liberation Caravan, recalling that he had to single-handedly handle the legal defense of his driver, who had been convicted by the courts, without any moral or financial support from the party leadership.
On the institutional and health level, the director general was keen to reassure everyone about the continuity of care and the monitoring of staff, redeployed in several structures in the capital while remaining administratively attached to the Aristide Le Dantec hospital.
Acknowledging a significant delay of nearly two years in the reconstruction work, Dr. Mansour Diop attributes this setback to technical adjustments to the initial project and budgetary constraints. He indicates, however, that the project is now among Prime Minister Al Amine Lo's priorities and that emergency financial measures are underway to expedite its completion.
