Dahra : Le ministre de la Formation professionnelle et technique assure la formation de 200 jeunes aux techniques de secourisme de protection et d’alerte
In Dahra, the Minister of Vocational and Technical Training, Idrissa Samb, enabled 200 young people from various socio-professional categories to be trained in alert, protection and first aid techniques.
For four days the beneficiaries learned how to alert the fire brigade in case of an accident by giving their telephone number, their name if necessary, the nature and number of victims.
Next, the young people were trained on how to care for an unconscious victim who must always be placed in the recovery position by tilting their head back, according to the trainer, Sergeant Major Kéba Ndour of the Dahra fire brigade.
The beneficiaries were also trained in the care of a choking victim. According to Sergeant Major Ndour, there are two types of choking: partial and total obstruction. If the victim is choking, they should be given five back blows to dislodge the foreign object or abdominal compressions should be applied before being placed at rest.
Finally, the young people were able to identify the two types of bleeding: internal, which is medical, and external, where they learned how to stop the bleeding.
Overall satisfied, the trained young people thanked Minister Idrissa Samb who gave them the opportunity to learn first aid, protection and alert techniques, especially in this part of the country where accidents are frequent.
