Décret de convocation, temps de parole et répliques : Ousmane Sonko détaille le déroulement de la DPG
Prime Minister Ahmadou Al Aminou Lo's major address began in the National Assembly chamber on Tuesday, September 1st. However, before he spoke, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ousmane Sonko, after congratulating him on behalf of the institution, reminded the members of parliament of the details of this General Policy Statement (DPG).
“Dear colleagues, we have been informed by Decree No. 2026-1530 of the President of the Republic dated August 24, 2026, convening the National Assembly in extraordinary session for the Prime Minister’s General Policy Statement. At its meeting on September 1, 2026, the Conference of Presidents of the National Assembly set the date of September 8, 2026 for the Prime Minister’s General Policy Statement,” he stated immediately.
Ousmane Sonko announced that the session would proceed as follows: “First, the Prime Minister’s General Policy Statement, which we will listen to. This will be followed by a 10-minute recess at the government’s request. A first round of speaking will then take place.” Afterward, there will be another recess, followed by the Prime Minister’s address to respond to the members’ questions, before a second round of speaking and the Prime Minister’s final responses.
