Serigne Fallou Kebe, Honorary President of the Movement of the late Mamadou Moustapha Ba and Leader of the UDK: An ambition for Kaolack

Serigne Fallou Kebe, president of AS Saloum and initiator of the 72 Hours of Saloum, has established the Union for the Development of Kaolack (UDK). This is a civic extension of his actions in support of his hometown.

This ambition is reflected in the following programmatic areas:

Infrastructure and pipeline project for Kaolack

Make infrastructure and sanitation improvements a priority for development. Rehabilitate and expand stormwater drainage networks to reduce flooding in city neighborhoods.

Modernization, reorganization and economic development of the central market of Kaolack, creation of jobs and improvement of working conditions for traders;

Modernizing market infrastructure improves hygiene and sanitation, enhances the safety of people and goods, improves the organization of traders, and facilitates access for customers and suppliers. It also creates direct and indirect jobs, promotes entrepreneurship among young people and women, develops services around the market, and increases Kaolack's commercial attractiveness.

Creation of a designated delivery area, organization of loading and unloading schedules. Creation of storage spaces. Reduction of haphazard occupation of traffic lanes.

Fish market renovation project. Transforming the Kaolack fish market into a modern, clean, organized, and efficient space capable of meeting the needs of consumers, traders, fishermen, and those involved in fish processing and distribution.

Reorganization of parking areas and service points. The project includes a complete reorganization of parking spaces around the central market in order to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and facilitate user movement.

-05 projects Creation of waste collection points in Kaolack. The objective is to create in the different districts of Kaolack designated and identified collection points where residents, traders and small traders can deposit their waste;

- Call to all sports stakeholders in Kaolack. Call to all sports stakeholders in Kaolack: club presidents, managers, coaches, educators, referees, former athletes, athletes, sports associations, supporters and partners.

- Collaboration with the State of Senegal and relevant services. As part of our approach to the economic and social development of Kaolack, we wish to establish close collaboration with the State of Senegal, the relevant ministries, local authorities, and state technical services. We also aim to establish direct collaboration with state programs and structures, including ADM, PUMA, PROMOVILLES, and other programs operating within local communities.

- Enhancing and improving places of worship. Establish, in consultation with religious leaders and local authorities, a program for the maintenance, renovation, and improvement of places of worship in Kaolack, including improvements to public lighting and access to water.

- Formalization and development of sales areas for breeders. The objective is to set up clean and secure organized spaces allowing breeders to market their animals in better conditions while facilitating health control and business management.

It should be noted that the Honorary President of the Movement is the late Mamadou Moustapha Ba, former Minister of Economy and Finance, for his career and values which constitute a source of inspiration for our movement and for the youth of the Kaolack region.
