FDR : Modou Diagne Fada succède à Oumar Sarr à la coordination
After praising the work done by the outgoing coordinator, Minister of State Oumar Sarr, the leaders of the Democratic and Republican Front (FDR) chose Minister Modou Diagne Fada to succeed him.
This decision was made during the weekly conference of FDR leaders, held today. In accordance with its founding charter, the opposition platform also decided to reorganize its standing committees.
The FDR paid tribute to Oumar Sarr for the "immense work accomplished" at the head of the organization. His successor, Modou Diagne Fada, will now be responsible for coordinating the FDR and implementing the new guidelines adopted by the Leaders' Conference.
This transition comes in the context of preparations for the upcoming elections. The FDR reaffirms its commitment to upholding the Electoral Code and the electoral calendar and intends to work towards building a winning opposition coalition, "regardless of the timing and form of the future elections."
The platform also asks its departmental structures to accelerate the implementation of coordination in order to strengthen its presence on the ground and prepare for the next electoral battles.
