Nabadji won the Zone 4 final against Bokissaboundou with a score of 2-1 in Ndouloumadji Dembé. But beyond the sporting victory, the notable absence of the mayor of Nabadji and the presence of Farba Ngom, the deputy-mayor of Agnam and patron of the competition, gave the event a whole new political and social dimension.
The Zone 4 final, initially anticipated as a grand celebration of local football between Nabadji and Bokissaboundou, was ultimately played in Ndouloumadji Dembé. After a hard-fought match, Nabadji emerged victorious with a score of 2-1, thus claiming the trophy for this edition.
However, beyond the result on the pitch, another event monopolized attention: the presence of Farba Ngom, the deputy-mayor of Agnam and sponsor of the final, against the backdrop of the notable absence of the mayor of Nabadji, Abdoulaye Salli Sall. Speaking at the match, the elected official from Agnam publicly expressed his incomprehension at the lack of local institutional representation.

“You have a problem, being mayorless. We can’t have a regional tournament of this scale at the end without the mayor or his representative. We don’t understand,” he declared, before adding: “When it comes to football, we’re united. We’re in tune with the expectations of young people.”
Through this message, the sponsor presented sport as a space for inter-community communion beyond divisions, recalling that local competitions constitute an irreplaceable cement for social cohesion.
An additional prize has been announced for the finalists.
The sponsor's active participation in this final was not limited to his speech. Substantial envelopes were distributed to the teams, while a new financial endowment was solemnly announced for the benefit of the two finalists, Nabadji and Bokissaboundou, as well as the governing body of Zone 4.
These contributions supplement the prizes already raised for the competition, illustrating the importance placed on providing material support to sports and cultural associations (ASC) in the face of recurring financial difficulties. The mayor of Agnam also took the opportunity to reiterate his deep attachment to the community: "Know that this town, God willing , is a part of me." This statement carries significant political weight in a context of weakened local representation.
The Zone 4 final will thus be remembered for this double significance: the sporting victory of Nabadji at the expense of Bokissaboundou and the remarkable breakthrough of Farba Ngom playing his cards on the table in the stronghold of an absent mayor.
