Hausse du carburant : Moundiaye Cissé appelle l’État à réduire son train de vie
The rise in fuel prices is already sparking reactions within civil society. Moundiaye Cissé, executive director of the NGO 3D, denounces it as "another burden" for households already struggling with declining purchasing power.
Its release comes at a time when Senegalese households are facing a difficult economic situation, marked by weakened purchasing power and increasing pressure on household budgets.
With super fuel rising to 990 FCFA per litre and diesel to 755 FCFA, he calls on the State to reduce its spending before asking for further sacrifices from the Senegalese people.
"The effort must first begin with the State," he insists, calling in particular for the implementation of the announced elimination of certain agencies.
