Hôpital américain de Paris : Farba Ngom sort du bloc opératoire et croise l’ancien…
Farba Ngom is in Paris for medical reasons. A few weeks after being granted provisional release in the investigation into the 125 billion CFA franc case, which resulted in over a year of pretrial detention, the mayor of Agnam traveled to the French capital with permission to leave the country issued by the investigating magistrate of the Financial Judicial Pool. Admitted to the American Hospital of Paris in Neuilly-sur-Seine, the APR leader underwent surgery related to his sleep apnea.
The newspaper L'Observateur, which broke the story, reports that the operation went smoothly. And that upon leaving the operating room, "Farba Ngom crossed paths with former minister Cheikh Tidiane Sy, who was present in the facility at the same time."
Sources close to the mayor of Agnam report that the APR official was at great risk: "The doctors explained to him that if he had stayed in Dakar for a few more months, he would have been at significant risk. That is why the operation was scheduled urgently, less than a week after his arrival in Paris."
