« Ils vont lire l’heure et ils ont commencé à lire l’heure » : Yankhoba Diémé flingue ses détracteurs
In Ziguinchor, Yankhoba Diémé, a member of the KIIRAY – Republican Patriots party, delivered a forceful speech to his detractors. Addressing activists and local leaders gathered around President Bassirou Diomaye Faye's project, he denounced their sterile criticism and reaffirmed the need for a solid party structure in the southern region. "They're going to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and they've already started," he declared, referring to the opposition who, according to him, spends their time commenting instead of taking action.
For Yankhoba Diémé, the time for organization is now, not idle chatter: "The primacy of work over talk, that's what I call the 'Guillaumai attitude.' Nothing can resist us if we embody discipline and method."
The KIIRAY official emphasized the importance of giving the party a solid foundation: statutes, internal regulations, and a manifesto. "We need a set of tools to know the framework within which we operate. Without structure, there is no party." He noted that the Congress had already allowed for the creation of nine positions to strengthen the organization and that the local grassroots cells (CELUs) must be revitalized in each district.
In his address, he also praised the President's experience and vision: "The President of the Republic is the best head of state. He has corrected the mistakes of the past and relies on experts to build a credible project." For him, the Diomaye Plan for Casamance is a historic roadmap that must be championed by activists on the ground.
Yankhoba Diémé specifically addressed the youth, whom he considers the spearhead of the movement. "I want the youth to embody the Diomaye attitude: discipline, exemplary conduct, and generosity. Your attitude will determine your aptitude."
He revealed that several young people from the JPS had decided to join KIIRAY, proof, according to him, of the attractiveness of the presidential project.
Beyond his attacks on his detractors, he called for unity: "Hand in hand, let's work like a ruling party. Senegal can only move forward through solidarity." He thanked the coordinators, ambassadors, and his colleagues for their commitment, citing the municipalities of Bougou.
This speech in Ziguinchor marks an important step in KIIRAY's strategy. By denouncing criticism and calling for discipline, Yankhoba Diémé aims to set a clear course: to structure the party, mobilize the youth, and support President Diomaye Faye in his project for national transformation.
