Kaffrine: Yaya Sow returns to politics and attacks Abdoulaye Seydou Sow

The handover of a 70 million CFA franc ambulance to Lour Escale served as a political platform for Yaya Sow. The ceremony, held in the presence of numerous activists and supporters, was sponsored by the former quaestor of the National Assembly, Daouda Dia. Several prominent figures also took part in the event, including the Minister of Health and Public Hygiene, Dr. Ibrahima Sy, the Minister-Advisor Alassane Sow, the Director General of AIBD, Cheikh Bamba Dièye, and the Director General of CROUS, Baye Cheikh Gaye.

After a period of withdrawal, Yaya Sow clearly intends to reclaim his place in the political debate. Addressing his activists and supporters, he announced his return to the field and called on political leaders in the Kaffrine region to unite their efforts around development priorities.

But his speech was not limited to this call for unity.

In a particularly noteworthy sequence of his speech, Yaya Sow took care to exclude Abdoulaye Seydou Sow from his call for mobilization.

The former mayor of Ribot Escale accuses him of "treason" and "political opportunism." These accusations stem from Yaya Sow's political interpretation, and Abdoulaye Seydou Sow may be called upon to respond.

The former parliamentarian went even further, openly displaying his willingness to politically confront Abdoulaye Seydou Sow.

With this statement, Yaya Sow offers a glimpse into the direction he intends to take with his political comeback. His call for the mobilization of Kaffrine's leaders, coupled with his attacks against Abdoulaye Seydou Sow, could reignite divisions within the local political class.
