KIIRAAY : L'affiche controversée partagée par Amadou Bâ n'est pas un document officiel, dément son auteur
The poster presented as the official image of the new presidential party KIIRAAY – The Republican Patriots, widely shared on social media following a post by MP Amadou Bâ, does not originate from the presidential movement. Its creator, Ibrahima Ndiaye (signing under the monogram "I2N"), has published a categorical denial to set the record straight.
The Pastef MP and former Minister of Culture used this image to denounce the drift of the state party towards a "man-centered party". In his analysis, Amadou Bâ asserted that the official poster featured a photo of the Head of State under the subtitle "New party of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye", seeing in this the sign of a political formation entirely embodied by a single individual.
The designer's clarification and a rebuttal of the criticisms
Faced with the scale of the controversy, the creator of the image felt compelled to clarify the situation. Ibrahima Ndiaye explained that he had been contacted by numerous internet users and observers who believed his work constituted the official communication of the coalition. He stated unequivocally that this poster is a strictly personal creation, produced on his own initiative with his own text, and that it cannot be considered an official communication of the government.
To avoid any confusion, the graphic designer also clarified his political affiliation. He stated that he is not part of the Diomaye coalition and is acting solely as an independent information provider. He further noted that the presence of the "I2N" logo at the bottom of the image clearly demonstrates his individual authorship.
This clarification thus weakens the accusations made by the opposition parliamentarian, whose argument was based on an unofficial communication medium.
