The ministry headed by Alioune Dione denies the "written questions" attributed to MP Varore and threatens to take legal action.

Le ministère dirigé par Alioune Dione dément des « questions écrites » attribuées au député Varore et menace de saisir la justice

From New York, where the minister is participating in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Ministry of Microfinance and Social and Solidarity Economy (MMESS) is reacting to information relayed by a press organ and presented as "written questions" addressed to the department by the Honorable Member of Parliament Varore.

After verification, the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (MMESS) stated that it had not received any written questions from the parliamentarian. The Ministry of Communication and Relations with Institutions also reportedly confirmed that no written questions concerning the MMESS had been forwarded to it by the National Assembly.

In a statement, the department denounces what it calls "disinformation campaigns." The MMESS asserts that it has "all the appropriate answers" to the published questions, particularly concerning an alleged subsidy of 200 million FCFA .

The ministry maintains that this case "does not exist anywhere" and accuses two individuals in dispute with the department of being the source of this information. According to the MMESS, one of them is currently outside the country and is the subject of legal proceedings.

Faced with this situation, the ministry announces that it "reserves the right to take legal action".

Finally, the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research (MMESS) expressed its hope that the Honorable Member of Parliament Varore, whose name is mentioned in the information in question, "is in no way involved" in this matter. The Ministry believes that the opposite could, in its view, "cast doubt on his personal credibility" and tarnish the reputation of the National Assembly.
