LFR 2026 : KIIRAAY-Mbour met en garde les députés de Pastef contre tout sacrifice des intérêts des Mbourois
The KIIRAAY Municipal Coordination – The Republican Patriots of Mbour is calling on Pastef deputies regarding the vote on the 2026 Amending Finance Law (LFR). In a statement received by Seneweb, it directly addresses Pastef deputies and urges them to vote in favor of the text, believing that several structuring projects for the department could be compromised.
For KIIRAAY-Mbour, the future of the municipality cannot be sacrificed on the altar of political rivalries. The coordination group draws attention to several projects eagerly awaited by the population, including the construction of a level 3 hospital, the rehabilitation of the Demba Diop high school, the building of a new courthouse and a new tribunal, as well as the construction of a fire station.
In addition to these infrastructures, there is the payment of social scholarships and the support of the Kheuyou Ndaw gni program, presented as an essential lever for the professional integration of young people and the fight against unemployment.
"Mbour expects action, not political maneuvering!"
In its press release, the municipal coordination directly addresses the Pastef parliamentarians, inviting them to consider the consequences of their position on the aspirations of the people of Mbour.
“The parliamentary mandate is not an instrument at the service of political rivalries or crypto-political interests. It constitutes a responsibility towards citizens and requires choices guided by the general interest,” insists KIIRAAY-Mbour.
She believes that no partisan considerations should take precedence over the needs of the people in terms of health, education, justice, employment and security.
But his appeal isn't just directed at elected officials. KIIRAAY is also calling on Pastef activists and supporters in Mbour to put pressure on their representatives to secure a favorable vote on the 2026 Finance Law.
"Loyalty to a party should never take precedence over defending the interests of the people," the coordination insists.
The statement also takes on the air of a warning. KIIRAAY cautions that the MPs in question will have to assume their political responsibilities if their refusal to vote for the text actually jeopardizes the projects expected by the people.
The municipal coordination committee believes that Mbour's development must transcend political divisions. It therefore calls on parliamentarians to prioritize the common good and not allow the aspirations of Mbour's residents to become victims of political confrontations.
