LFR 2026 : Le FDR dénonce les tensions entre l’Exécutif et l’Assemblée nationale
The Front for the Defense of Democracy and the Republic (FDR) deplores the tensions between the Executive and Legislative branches over the draft amending finance law (LFR) 2026 and the draft initial finance law for 2027.
In a statement dated October 21, 2026, the FDR Leaders Conference believes that these institutional divergences are diverting attention from social emergencies.
"The tensions between the Legislative and Executive branches over the supplementary budget bill and the initial budget bill for 2027 give the impression of institutions more absorbed by their power struggles than by resolving social emergencies," denounces the FDR.
Moreover, the FDR points to the responsibility of the majority in the adoption of the reforms of the Labour Code and the Social Security Code, which are now being challenged by trade union organizations.
According to the coalition, Pastef MPs voted for these texts without amending them, while workers denounce the failure to respect the consensus resulting from tripartite consultations.
Referring to the parliamentary inquiry commissions set up by the National Assembly, the coalition of opposition parties describes them as a "big farce" and accuses the Pastef majority of selecting the cases submitted for investigation, excluding, according to them, those in which the ruling party would be directly involved.
