LFR rejetée en commission : Aminata Touré dénonce « l'irresponsabilité » des députés de Pastef
Invited to RFM's evening program, the supervisor of the Kiraay party reacted to the second rejection of the supplementary budget law (LFR) in committee. She regretted that the Pastef deputies had "turned their backs" on their mandate and asserted that the Constitution had foreseen this scenario.
Stunned by this new legislative and executive standoff, Aminata Touré is furious. The former head of government first expressed "her deep regret." "I thought that returning the bill to committee would allow these elected officials to come to their senses. These MPs were ours, since we campaigned for them so that the president would have a majority in the National Assembly," she reminded everyone.
According to Aminata Touré, the blocking of the LFR is bringing several state projects to a halt.

“I am sorry to see such great irresponsibility from the MPs. With the LFR, more than 1,500 billion in payment credits will go directly into the economy. It must be remembered that 300 billion must be paid as part of the State’s debt to the private sector, which employs the majority of Senegalese,” she said.
Touba, Bakel, Kédougou: projects on hold
The former Prime Minister also listed the projects included in the Finance Law: sanitation in certain cities, including Touba, the start-up of several hospitals, notably in Bakel, and the construction of barracks in Kédougou. "This is a budget that allows us to launch programs that have a direct impact on the population," she argued.
She is therefore astonished that these "people's representatives" refuse to vote on a text which, she says, concerns neither the president nor the government, but the Senegalese people. For her, elected officials must vote in the interest of the people.
The sanitation issue in Touba
Aminata Touré also mentioned Touba. She countered that the Finance Law specifically includes a budget allocation for starting sanitation and runoff water drainage works in the holy city.

"The Constitution provides for this case."
Regarding the future, the head of Kiraay sought to reassure everyone. "Fortunately, our Constitution has foreseen this scenario. The Head of State will take all necessary measures to ensure that the country is not paralyzed ," she stated.
She concluded by deploring the attitude of the members of parliament who, in her view, had turned their backs on their true mission: to defend the interests of the Senegalese people who had elected them. She added, "I hope they will take responsibility for this irresponsibility."
