Licenciements dans l’administration : le CIAAS salue la réintégration à la SN HLM et réclame d’autres mesures
Following the reinstatement of nine dismissed managers from SN HLM, the Interministerial Collective of Senegalese Administration Agents (CIAAS) is calling for the acceleration of the settlement of the other cases of workers concerned.
In a statement on July 30, the CIAAS welcomed the involvement of Prime Minister Ahmadou Al Aminou Lo in this matter, considering that this decision "demonstrates the Government's willingness to definitively resolve the issue of dismissals and to preserve a peaceful social climate."
The union also thanked the Minister of Public Service and Labor, Mamadou Lamine Dianté, for "his attentiveness and commitment to dialogue." For the CIAAS, "it is through ongoing, sincere, and responsible dialogue between the Government and social partners that lasting solutions can be achieved."
Several cases still pending
The CIAAS is now calling for an acceleration of the handling of other cases of dismissals, particularly at the Autonomous Port of Dakar, Dakar Dem Dikk and the Ministry of Mines and Geology.
He also demands a response for cases not included in the Social Stability Pact. Among them: Alioune Sarr from the Directorate General of Housing Regulation and Construction, the eight dismissed PUMA agents, the 32 workers of the Business Project Program of the Ministry of Vocational Training, the former employees of Nono Crédit of the DER/FJ, the 93 agents of the CIEL program of the Ministry of Employment, as well as 11 AIDB workers assigned to Matam airport.
The case of the 31 DGUA agents made available to SONAGED is also raised, with a request for payment of "more than a year of salary arrears".
A circular is expected
The CIAAS also welcomed the announcement, in the Council of Ministers, of an upcoming circular intended to remind ministries and semi-public structures of the strict respect for the procedures provided for by labor legislation.
"This measure fully meets the expectations of the trade union organizations," the organization believes, while nevertheless calling for a swift reinstatement of the workers concerned.
For the CIAAS, resolving these situations would "relieve many Senegalese families currently plunged into precariousness and difficulties" and consolidate social dialogue within the administration.
