Mbacké : Dr Abdoulaye Niane appelle à « donner au peuple sénégalais ce qu'il a réclamé » et à soutenir le président Faye
The General Delegate of the DER/FJ and Departmental Coordinator for Kiiraay in Mbacké, Dr. Abdoulaye Niane, received the ministers from the Diourbel-Louga region (Moussa Balla Fofana, Alioune Dione, and Idrissa Samb) at a press conference dedicated to the political situation and the amended budget law. He called on the people of the department to support the Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.
Kiiraay – The Republican Patriots held a press conference on Monday, November 2, 2026, in Mbacké. Ministers from the Diourbel-Louga region provided insights into the political situation and the LFR (Law on the Reform of the Constitution), in the presence of all the presidential party officials in the Mbacké department.
In his address, Dr. Abdoulaye Niane placed the country's future at the heart of his remarks. "What matters to us today is, above all, the future of Senegal," he declared. He specified that before discussing the 2027 political deadline, the current situation, which he described as an "urgent matter," must first be resolved. According to him, this is precisely the reason for the meeting.
He acknowledged that Pastef has significant electoral weight in the area. However, he asserted that the country's situation demonstrates that Senegalese people desire a change of political regime. In his view, after twelve years of governance, "a breath of fresh air for democracy" calls for this change. He added that the Senegalese people harbor a strong yearning for a change of power and believe in its necessity, while denouncing the "bargaining" that, he observed, has taken place around this issue. Faced with the current difficulties, he affirmed his desire for change and for the Senegalese people to be given what they have demanded.
The finance law, a source of hope for President Faye
Dr. Niane then emphasized that President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye represents hope for the people today. After two years in power and considering all that has transpired, he believes it is essential to restore this hope to the Senegalese people, particularly through the provisions to be included in the finance law.
He recalled that the ministers had explained what the Head of State had included in the text, "something of great importance to the Senegalese people." He added that when these measures begin to be implemented, the Senegalese people know they will benefit from "a new justice system."
Speaking about local action, the departmental coordinator for Kiiraay clarified that what directly concerns his camp is the work carried out at the departmental level. "We are not here to get bogged down in secondary considerations," he said. He explained that the objective is for the President of the Republic to be honored and supported, and for the people they meet to be mobilized toward this end.
According to him, the already observable work begins demonstrates that what the ministers announced is real. "We are mobilized, we are determined, and we are eager to see the results," he stated. He added that this approach aims to make the Mbacké department understand that this is "a new turning point, a new stage."
Dr. Abdoulaye Niane concluded by calling for the President of the Republic to be questioned and encouraged. He asserted that the affected populations are dignified people, as have, in his view, always been the officials present. "We appeal to your dignity and your sense of honor so that you may support and stand with the President of the Republic," he declared.
