Mbacké : Le ministre Idrissa Samb exhorte les députés de Pastef à voter la LFR
At the initiative of Kiiraay-Les patriotes républicains, members of the government held a press conference this Monday, November 2, 2026, in Mbacké. They called on Pastef MPs to vote for the supplementary budget law (LFR) and the initial budget law. Ministers Moussa Balla Fofana, Alioune Dione, and Idrissa Samb, as well as the Delegate General to the DER (Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship), Dr. Abdoulaye Niane, participated in the meeting.
Idrissa Samb's plea for the budget vote
It was the Minister of Employment and Vocational and Technical Training, Idrissa Samb, who addressed the population of the Diourbel region and the entire pole, that is to say the inhabitants of Baol, Ndiambour and Djolof.
The minister began by placing the budget debate within the context of a generation of young people who "demand concrete and immediate answers for their future." For him, this debate cannot be reduced to "political games." He took the opportunity to present the work of his department.
What blocking the LFR would jeopardize
At the heart of his address, Idrissa Samb warned that blocking the supplementary budget law (LFR), and subsequently the next initial budget law, risks jeopardizing numerous projects and programs, particularly those related to vocational training, youth employment, and social integration. He argued that this blockage would first compromise the project to build 23 training centers in 23 departments. It would also threaten the construction of six agricultural and agri-food high schools in six regions. The minister noted that one such institution already exists in Diourbel, in the municipality of Sadio.
Furthermore, blocking the supplementary budget law and the initial finance law would amount to "depriving tens of thousands of young Senegalese of training, internships, or employment." It would also mean suspending the construction of training centers, freezing scholarships, and closing the doors of businesses to a generation that, he said, "no longer has time to wait."
To illustrate his ministry's work, Idrissa Samb listed several achievements and projects. He announced that he would inaugurate the Diourbel 2 training center the following Thursday. This facility will be able to accommodate 1,500 trainees.
He had planned to simultaneously inaugurate the Touba training center, located in the CCAK complex and designed to accommodate 1,000 students. However, he decided against it, explaining that Touba is "a special city" that deserves "a special program." He will then proceed to his hometown of Linguère to inaugurate Linguère 2, which will have a capacity of 1,500 students.
A solemn appeal to the Pastef deputies
Idrissa Samb then delivered a "message of responsibility" to the Pastef MPs, reminding them that "the whole world" is watching them and that the Senegalese people are listening. He declared that "the time for partisan calculations and ideological squabbles is over."
He asserted that the state and the future of the nation "must remain above all political considerations," and that patriotism "is not measured by the rigor of an opposition," but by the ability to put the national interest before any clan logic.
The minister finally made a solemn appeal for restraint and reason: "Do not make Senegalese youth the collateral victims of your political posturing or partisan maneuvering." He asked the members of parliament to vote for the budget bill "not for a government, but for the future of the young people of this country," demonstrating "maturity, seriousness, and a sense of duty to the state."
