Pastef chez Serigne Khadim Lô Gaydel : La déclaration forte d'Amadou Bâ sur la stabilité du pays
During the Gamou celebrations, Ousmane Sonko, president of the Pastef party, sent a delegation to Serigne Khadim Lô Gaydel in Bakhdad. Speaking on behalf of the delegation, MP Amadou Bâ praised the role played by religious authorities in preserving peace and stability in Senegal.
According to him, the country's development cannot be achieved at the expense of the cultural and religious values that underpin Senegalese society.
“Senegal cannot move forward without respecting our cultural values,” declared Amadou Bâ. The MP also emphasized that possessing natural resources is not enough to guarantee a country’s stability. “Many countries have natural resources but struggle to achieve peace and stability,” he noted.
In his address, Amadou Bâ reaffirmed Pastef's gratitude to religious families for their contribution to national cohesion. He specifically stated that their role had been crucial during periods of intense tension experienced by Senegal.
"If it weren't for our religious leaders, Senegal could have descended into violence," he argued.
For his part, Serigne Khadim Lô Gaydel urged the population to prioritize peace, work, and respect for divine guidance. This was a call for responsibility and the preservation of social cohesion, in a context where religious authorities continue to play a significant role in the country's stability.
