PLFR 2026 : l’Assemblée nationale disposée à rencontrer le Gouvernement
The National Assembly says it is willing to meet with the Government as early as this Monday afternoon to continue discussions on the 2026 amending finance bill (PLFR).
In an information note published this Monday, October 26, the parliamentary institution specifies that this availability follows the Prime Minister's request to continue discussions with parliamentary authorities on the examination of the text.
To make this meeting constructive, the National Assembly indicates that the chairman of the Finance and Budgetary Control Committee has contacted the Minister of Economy, Finance and Budget to obtain additional information and documents.
The institution emphasizes, however, that the commission's work is complete and that the plenary session is scheduled to examine the supplementary budget bill this Tuesday, October 27. It therefore considers that no new formal procedure can reasonably be initiated before this deadline.
The National Assembly also recalls that discussions should primarily involve the Finance and Budgetary Control Committee as well as parliamentary groups.
She nevertheless says she is ready to receive the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance and other relevant members of the Government, according to the composition that the Executive deems appropriate.
"Our willingness to engage in dialogue is complete," the institution assures, reaffirming its commitment to reaching a compromise while respecting the prerogatives of each institution and in the best interests of the Senegalese people.
