The Minister of Justice, Moussa Sarr, and the National Secretary General of the Union of Justice Workers (SYTJUST), El Hadj Ayé Boun Malick Diop, were informed of the authorities' decision to invite the agents concerned to submit individual requests for reclassification.
In a press release, the National Executive Bureau (NEB) of SYTJUST indicated that the minister had informed them of the imminent publication of a government communiqué to formalize this process. Each affected employee will then have to submit their application personally, in accordance with the instructions that will be provided by the authorities.
This decision represents a reversal of previous commitments made by the Minister of Public Service. According to the union, he had pledged to authorize the consolidation of applications, which were to be submitted collectively by the Ministry of Justice.
Taking note of this change of position, the SYTJUST Executive Board asks all concerned agents to prepare and submit their files as soon as possible, upon publication of the government communiqué.
