Saint-Louis : L'ancien DG du CROUS quitte l’APR et rejoint Kiiraay
The former director general of the CROUS (Regional Center for University and School Services) in Saint-Louis, Dr. Bamba Ka, has announced his decision to leave the Alliance for the Republic (APR) to join Kiiraay–The Republican Patriots, the party of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. He stated that he made this decision after extensive consultations with his political base and various segments of Saint-Louis society.

"I have invited you this afternoon for an important decision, carefully considered and taken with full responsibility," he said, specifying that this decision comes at the end of consultations with women, men, elders, young people as well as the various trades of Saint-Louis.
For Dr. Ka, these discussions led to a conviction: "The time for disorganization is over. The time for unity and action is now. The time for foresight and common sense is now."
It is with this in mind that he says he responded favorably to the call of President Diomaye Faye. "I have decided to join the Kiiraay party, with all the activists and leaders who accompany me, the party of republican patriots," he announced.
The former APR official insists on the deliberate nature of his choice. He refuses to see it as a renunciation of his political convictions, but rather as a move dictated, according to him, by the desire to contribute to nation-building.
"This carefully considered choice is neither a break with my convictions, much less a denial. This choice is proof of political maturity and responsible realism," he explained.
"To expand the party's presence in every neighborhood"
By joining Kiiraay, Dr. Bamba Ka is also demonstrating new ambitions for Saint-Louis. He intends, in particular, to contribute to the party's expansion in the department and to bring the concerns of the population to the forefront of the presidential majority.
"Our mission is clear: to consolidate the gains, to expand the party in every neighborhood, in every village, in every profession, in every family, and to bring the concerns of Saint-Louis to the forefront of the presidential majority," he stated.
The former Director General of the CROUS also addressed a message to the various segments of the population. To women, he promised a place "at the heart of decision-making," while he considered men's commitment a strength. He also intends to draw upon the wisdom of elders and the energy of youth, not forgetting economic and professional stakeholders, whose demands he intends to champion, believing that a strong department is built with those who bring it to life every day.
An appeal to the sons and daughters of Saint-Louis
Finally, the new member of Kiiraay made an appeal to all the sons and daughters of the department, particularly those from Saint-Louis, Gandon, Fass, Mpal and Gandiol. "Come. Let's put our energies together. Let's work together for the department of Saint-Louis, for the region of Saint-Louis, for the Senegal that we share," he declared.
With this membership, Dr. Bamba Ka intends to put his political experience and network at the service of the presidential majority, while displaying the ambition to strengthen Kiiraay's presence in the department of Saint-Louis.
