Visite à Oumou Group : Le ministre du numérique Samba Diouf salue les réalisations d’une référence sous-régionale
The Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, Samba Diouf, paid a working visit on Thursday, August 13, in the presence of Diabel Seck, CEO of the group. The meeting was fruitful, marked by mutual recognition and a clear commitment to establishing collaboration within a public-private partnership framework to support Senegal's digital transformation.
The major challenges of digital transformation call for close cooperation between the government and the national private sector. This vision fully encapsulates Oumou Group's ambition to meet this challenge. "We wish to make available to the Ministry all our expertise, our international network of partners, our capacity to mobilize investment, and our know-how in developing and managing innovative projects," affirms Adja Aïssatou Ndao, Deputy Managing Director of Oumou Group. This statement, made in the presence of the Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, marks a strong commitment and a desire to participate in making Senegal a model of public-private technological partnerships.
The DGA also expressed its sincere gratitude to the Minister for the honor of his visit, his availability, his attentiveness, and his commitment to constructive dialogue with national businesses. It commended his firm commitment to integrating his department's actions into a public-private partnership framework, essential for accelerating Senegal's digital transformation and strengthening its competitiveness. "Rest assured that our group remains fully committed to supporting this ambition and contributing alongside you to the emergence of an innovative Senegal, a leader in digital technology in Africa," it concluded.
For his part, Minister Samba Diouf paid a glowing tribute to the journey of Oumou Group, which he has followed since 2005, when he was a student at the Faculty of Science and Technology. "I have seen this company grow with a great deal of innovation. It is an achievement we commend and we encourage you to persevere," he stated.
Expressing his great pleasure at being present "as a Senegalese citizen, but also as an authority figure," the minister praised the work accomplished and assured the company that the State remained fully committed to supporting it. He commended the solutions developed, which were perfectly aligned with the national transformation agenda, and encouraged the group to innovate further.
"It is a national benchmark and, I would say, a sub-regional benchmark. We must continue to innovate, continue to persevere and continue to believe that you can go much further," he insisted.
The minister also invited the company to broaden its collaboration beyond the digital department alone, by opening itself up to other government agencies, given the diversity of the solutions presented. "Together, let's grow the business," he concluded.
