In my capacity as Minister of State to the Head of State, in charge of the Senegal 2050 Agenda, from April 30, 2024 to May 24, 2024, I ensured the finalization of the master plan and the structuring of the strategic management of the framework,” he specified.

Before continuing: “And I will always remember the words you uttered when you and the President finally decided to let me go to the Presidency to take care of the framework. You told me: ‘You will serve as a bridge within the agenda between the Presidency and the Prime Minister’s Office.’”

Addressing the members of parliament, the Prime Minister suggested: "I have no ambition to derail anything in the implementation of the vision of a sovereign, just and prosperous Senegal, rooted in strong values. The course will be maintained with a change of method inspired by my long professional career."

“This method,” he continued, “Mr. President of the National Assembly, “which I put to good use in my capacity as Secretary General of the Government, and which you praised—and for which I thank you most sincerely—in your first words as President of this august institution, you described me as competent, hardworking, rigorous, and dedicated. Yes, I am dedicated. I remain dedicated to those who have placed their trust in me and who continue to do so, but above all, I am dedicated to the Senegalese people and the interests of the Senegalese people.”

À mon sens, la présence du Premier ministre à l'Assemblée nationale est dénuée de sens, étant donné qu'il a été tiré de sa retraite pour servir de façade à un gouvernement, un gouvernement dont la légitimité même a été sapée depuis que le président Diomaye a décidé de confisquer la victoire du PASTEF. Diomaye a choisi de faire cavalier seul, agissant au gré de ses caprices et faisant fi du programme que le parti avait présenté pour convaincre l'électorat sénégalais ; il concentre désormais tout sur sa propre personne, entouré de courtisans qui ne sont pas des hommes politiques au sens représentatif du terme et qui ne possèdent aucune légitimité pour gérer les affaires du pays. Ce qui se joue actuellement ressemble fort à une prise de pouvoir par des opportunistes tapis dans l'ombre, des individus qui ont attisé les divisions et qui, le moment venu, sont sortis de l'anonymat pour s'emparer des rênes du pouvoir. Aujourd'hui, un groupe d'outsiders politiques, que personne n'avait vu venir, détient les rênes du pouvoir et le destin du pays, tout en enchaînant quotidiennement bévues, maladresses et hésitations qui exaspèrent le peuple sénégalais. À mes yeux, la déclaration de politique générale de ce Premier ministre, étranger au monde politique, n'est qu'une mascarade destinée à respecter la tradition ; pourtant, contrairement au passé, elle ne se traduira par aucune politique concrète, car le gouvernement actuel en infime minorité n'est pas véritablement maître de son destin politique ou économique, ayant remis son avenir entre les mains des institutions de Bretton Woods : le FMI et la Banque mondiale.

Le PM ne peut pas ne pas parler de la dette et même s'il ne le faisait les deputes de Sonko le feront. Par contre cette partie du discours c'est en réponse aux médisants qui te louent hier et t'insultent ensuite car tu n'es pas d'accord avec eux. Il lui rappelle egalement qu'il est au service de son pays et de son peuple.

Il doit s'adresser à l'assemblée et non au président de l'assemblée. Je pensais que pour sa DPG, il s'était mentalement préparé à se débarrasser de leur obsession de Sonko, le temps de sa présence à l'assemblée. Mais, il n'a pas pu. C'est une maladie.
