"It is with deep sadness and strong emotion that I pay tribute to my friend, my brother, Dean Mody Niang, whose passing leaves a huge void in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him, being around him and sharing his struggles.
Mody Niang was much more than a man of conviction. He was a conscience, a free voice, a patriot deeply committed to truth, justice, and human dignity. His love for Senegal knew no borders or compromises. He made the defense of truth and the common good a lifelong commitment, carried out with courage, steadfastness, and rare sincerity.
I cherish the unforgettable memory of those long days spent by his side in my home, filled with rich, frank, and passionate discussions. These moments of sharing allowed me to better appreciate the depth of his commitment, the nobility of his convictions, and the sincerity of his attachment to our country. Behind the man of principle, a warm brother, a generous conversationalist, and a patriot driven by a constant concern for the future of Senegal was revealed.
The preacher Imam Dame Ndiaye, also a witness to his life and commitment, knows the value of this man who never ceased to champion the demands of truth and responsibility. Many are witnesses to the life of this tireless soldier for the Senegalese cause.
Those who knew him well know how much his stances reflected a deep conviction: that Senegal deserves citizens who stand up, capable of defending their principles beyond personal interests and the contingencies of the moment.
Today, as I offer him my condolences, I cannot help but reflect on those moments we shared, his words, his convictions, and his unwavering passion for our beloved nation. Death may take a man, but it cannot erase the mark he leaves on our consciences, nor extinguish the light of his struggles.
To his family, loved ones, comrades in arms, and all those grieved by this loss, I offer my deepest condolences. I bow before the memory of a man whose life was marked by commitment, fidelity to his principles, and love for Senegal.
Dean Mody Niang, my friend, my brother, rest in peace. May Allah, in His infinite mercy, welcome you into His Paradise, forgive your shortcomings, and reward your good deeds. May your moral legacy continue to inspire present and future generations.

Un homme de conviction nous a quittés, laissant derrière lui le souvenir d’un homme de valeurs, de courage et de détermination. Un homme qui savait défendre ses idées, rester fidèle à ses principes et avancer avec dignité, même face aux difficultés.
Son départ laisse un grand vide dans le cœur de celles et ceux qui ont eu la chance de le connaître, de partager son chemin et d’apprécier ses qualités humaines. Mais au-delà de la douleur de son absence, son engagement, ses convictions et les traces qu’il laisse dans nos mémoires continueront de vivre à travers ceux qui l’ont côtoyé.
En ces moments douloureux, j’adresse mes pensées les plus sincères à sa famille, à ses proches et à toutes les personnes touchées par cette disparition. Que la force, le courage et l’amour de ceux qui l’entourent puissent les aider à traverser cette épreuve.
Les hommes de conviction ne disparaissent jamais vraiment : ils continuent de vivre à travers leurs valeurs, leurs combats et le souvenir qu’ils laissent derrière eux.
