Faux diplômes à l'ARP : Ce que révèle l’enquête auprès des écoles
Following the statements of MP Guy Marius Sagna regarding the presence of fake diplomas within the Senegalese Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (ARP), Seneweb contacted a source close to the case to verify.
MP Guy Marius Sagna has publicly denounced the existence of fake diplomas in the files of several ARP (Assembly of the Representatives of the People) employees, including a former member of top management recruited between 2022 and 2024. According to the MP, this situation calls into question the institution's recruitment and oversight procedures. He also reported union actions aimed at opposing the transparency measures implemented by the former Director General, who had commissioned an internal audit before being dismissed.
The internal investigation and checks with the schools
To verify these claims, Seneweb contacted an administrative source. This source confirmed that a thorough investigation had indeed been conducted with the higher education institutions in question. The official responses provided by these institutions indicate that the diplomas presented by some employees were not issued by their departments and that these individuals are not listed as alumni. In light of the progress of this investigation, several implicated employees have joined the union to seek protection.
Although the schools' findings confirm the irregularities in the personnel files, our source provides a crucial clarification: "For the moment, no formal decision has yet been made regarding the fate of the employees involved."
