Santé publique : le Sénégal vise l’élimination du VIH, de la syphilis et de l’hépatite B chez les enfants d’ici 2030
Senegal is determined to eliminate HIV as a public health problem by 2030 and to end mother-to-child transmission of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B. To achieve this goal, the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene is organizing a national performance review of HIV and triple elimination data from March 10 to 12, 2026 in Dakar.
This meeting, which brings together representatives from the ministry, technical and financial partners, as well as civil society organizations, aims to assess the progress made and identify the challenges to be met in order to achieve the set objectives.
"Senegal is committed to eliminating HIV and other communicable diseases," the ministry statement emphasizes. Joint efforts will strengthen prevention, testing, and treatment strategies to protect the most vulnerable populations, particularly pregnant women and children.
The road to elimination is long, but Senegal is determined to succeed in this challenge.
