363 millions F CFA en denrées volés : la mafia est coincée à Touba Ndamatou, deux suspects cueillis en Guinée-Bissau
Specializing in logistics, supply, and warehouse management for food products, Simar SA filed a complaint with the Faidherbe Criminal Investigation Brigade regarding the embezzlement of 363 million CFA francs worth of food products. During their investigation, detectives quickly located a truck loaded with 25 tons of wheat in Touba Ndamatou. Further checks revealed that the driver possessed only a delivery slip supposedly issued on October 21, 2025, by the complainant company, but its authenticity remained to be verified.
The newspaper L'Observateur, which broke the story, explains: "The ongoing investigation will establish that the wheat was fraudulently loaded from Simar's storage warehouses in Cambérène. The police will then focus their investigations on those involved in the management, control, and release of the goods."
The newspaper, part of the Future Media Group, reports that the gendarmerie uncovered "a system of theft and resale of goods in the local market." Several arrests followed. "Among those apprehended are two individuals arrested in Guinea-Bissau. The investigation is ongoing to uncover other members of the network," the newspaper concludes.
