À l'ère de l'IA, une photo ne prouve plus rien : SEETLU scelle la preuve des chantiers au Sénégal
A construction site image can now be created in seconds. For the diaspora building remotely, for those managing multiple projects in Senegal, and for developers needing to reassure their buyers, a Senegalese company is focusing on verifiable proof.

For years, a single photograph was enough to reassure. A wall erected, a slab poured, a roof installed: the image served as proof. Those days are over. Artificial intelligence tools now produce credible construction site photos in seconds, and a real photograph can be retouched, or simply be from last year.
Senegalese living abroad are the first to be affected. They send money, receive images, and have no way of knowing if they are genuine. But the problem doesn't stop with the diaspora. In Dakar, too, construction is taking place in Saly, Thiès, or in villages, without the ability to visit them every week. An executive, a business owner, or a company director managing several projects simultaneously cannot be everywhere. And legitimate developers are also paying the price for this mistrust: after several cases of fraudulent real estate projects reported in the press this year, their buyers are demanding proof.

SEETLU, a Senegalese company based in Sicap Liberté, Dakar, has built its service around this issue. Its principle: the evidence must be verifiable by anyone. When a SEETLU technician visits a worksite, each photo is sealed at the moment it is taken: date and time, GPS location, and a digital fingerprint that reveals any retouching. The report arrives within 24 hours in an online client portal.
The entire construction site in a single space
From their phone, whether in Paris, Milan or Dakar, the client opens their SEETLU account and finds their entire project in one place:
. Progress step by step : foundations, elevation, slab, roofing, secondary work, finishing touches, with the percentage observed at each visit.
The schedule of visits , past and future, in Dakar time and in the time of the country where he lives.
Each report and its sealed photos , with the date, time and GPS position, can be downloaded as a PDF.
Before and after : two photos of the same construction site, taken weeks apart, side by side.
The money sent versus the work completed : the client sees if the expenses are keeping pace with the project.
. His quotes and invoices , and a WhatsApp button to write directly to SEETLU.
Each report includes a "Verify this report" link. The client, their family, buyers, notary, or bank can verify with a single click that it was indeed issued by SEETLU and that the photos have not been altered. The verification page does not display any of the client's personal data.
The same tool meets different needs.
The individual , whether abroad or in Senegal, follows their construction step by step and only pays each installment upon presentation of proof.
The person who manages several projects receives a report for each project, in the same format, and can find the entire history in one place.
The developer has independent reports to share with its buyers and its bank: proof that its construction site is actually progressing.
The bank or institution financing a construction project knows the progress of the work before each disbursement.
The site monitoring service in Senegal covers four situations: checking land, monitoring construction, inspecting a house before purchase, and showing an empty house regularly. Packages start at 39,000 FCFA per month. The company prides itself on its complete independence: it does not build, sell materials, or ever handle its clients' money.
Behind the tool, there is a human network. SEETLU constitutes a network of partner technicians in the 14 regions of the country, currently being approved, and has received more than 1,000 applications: profiles trained in civil engineering and building, recruited in their own region, with a technician in each region and same-day intervention.
"Technology does not replace the land: it makes it impossible to fake. Whether you build from Paris or from Dakar, one house or ten, you have the same right: to know what is actually built," summarizes the founder of SEETLU.
