Mawlid celebrations: The CMS contributes and strengthens its mobile banking services

Accompagnement du Maouloud : Le CMS apporte sa contribution et renforce ses services bancaires mobiles

As the Gamou approaches, Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal (CMS) is ramping up its efforts to support the organization of this major event. A delegation from the institution, led by its CEO, Amadou Jean-Jacques Diop, visited Ndiassane and then Tivaouane on Thursday to pay homage to the Caliphs General and several religious leaders.

This tour is part of the CMS tradition on the eve of major spiritual gatherings. "As usual, as Gamou approaches, we tour Senegalese religious families to contribute to the organization of this important event," explained Amadou Jean-Jacques Diop.

After Ndiassane and Tivaouane, the Director General announced that the delegation would visit the religious authorities of Medina Baye and Léona Niassène in Kaolack this Saturday.

“A completely Senegalese institution”

For Amadou Jean-Jacques Diop, this presence within religious communities reflects the CMS's commitment to remaining close to its members. "The CMS is a completely Senegalese institution, belonging to its clients, its members," he emphasized. The organization currently boasts approximately 1.6 million members.

The Director General stressed that the primary objective is to properly serve this important community, with Gamou going beyond the purely religious framework to impact the whole of Senegalese society.

Services available 24/7

Beyond its organizational support, the CMS intends to facilitate pilgrims' access to their financial resources during this period of high demand. Amadou Jean-Jacques Diop assured that the institution is ensuring the continuous availability of funds, both by strengthening the network of local agencies and through digital channels.

He highlighted, in particular, the CMS Mobile solution, the tool for digitizing the institution's services. According to him, this application allows users to access their accounts at any time, 24/7, and also to open an account remotely from anywhere in the world.

Through this dual approach, combining physical proximity and digital innovation, Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal intends to reaffirm its presence alongside the people and religious communities for this 2026 edition of Gamou.
