Accusation contre le bureau des passeports : le TikTokeur Mister Laye présente ses excuses à la police après son audition
TikToker A. Ndiaye, administrator of the account "Mister Laye," has publicly kept a low profile following his hearing with the Special Division for Combating Cybercrime. The case stems from the release of a viral video in which the TikToker openly criticized the police administration, questioning the integrity of certain officials working at the Passport Office of the Directorate of Police for Foreigners and Travel Documents.
In his publication, A. Ndiaye denounced preferential treatment within office no. 118. He claimed to have seen a user, who arrived after him, being received as a priority under the pretext of a short informal exchange, before the discussion dragged on.
Judging the situation "unacceptable" and condemning a lack of fairness in the public service, the content creator had called on his community to massively share to amplify his outburst.
The police investigation and clarifications quickly established the facts. Office No. 118 is dedicated exclusively to in-depth verifications and investigations of administrative documents, particularly in light of the recurring problem of forged documents. These meticulous investigative procedures regularly extend over several months.
Having himself presented a judgment issued in 2025, A. Ndiaye's case required a preliminary investigation to determine the exact circumstances of his late birth registration. It was precisely this legal and technical constraint that justified the three-month delay imposed on him.
Questioned at the Special Cybersecurity Division, the suspect recanted his statements. He admitted to acting impulsively, mistakenly believing he was the victim of an injustice. A. Ndiaye stated that he did not condone the derogatory comments directed at the police officers under his video, clarifying that he never intended to denigrate an institution responsible for public safety.
Realizing the gravity of his actions, A. Ndiaye offered a formal apology for the negative impact of his post before recording a new video of correction and repentance. Here is the video:
