All those arrested during the dismantling of the MFDC's iconic headquarters known as "Mangoukouro" have been released. According to reports, the last two individuals detained were released early Thursday morning, thus ending the detention measures taken after the security operation in Ziguinchor.

This development comes after a series of operations by the defense and security forces, beginning Tuesday with a joint army and gendarmerie operation in the Lyndiane Coboda neighborhood on the outskirts of Ziguinchor. This led to the arrest of 28 people, including nine women, in what authorities describe as a gathering place for the MFDC (Movement of Democratic Forces of Congo) known as "Mangoukouro." Security forces also seized cell phones, documents, flags, and insignia associated with the movement.

Following initial questioning, 26 of those arrested were released on Wednesday. Two individuals remained in custody, identified, according to multiple sources, as the property owner and the person who carried the MFDC flag at the rally. They were finally released on Thursday morning.

In parallel with the legal proceedings, the gendarmerie conducted a second raid on the premises yesterday, Wednesday. Investigators first removed the inscriptions and symbols associated with the MFDC visible on the walls of the MFDC headquarters before carrying out further searches. Material deemed potentially relevant to the investigation was seized for analysis.

Although all those arrested have now been released, investigations are continuing in order to establish precisely the circumstances of the gathering and to exploit the evidence collected during the two successive operations carried out by the security forces.
