Barkedji : Un commerçant blessé par balle, son épouse ligotée par des braqueurs en 4x4

In the night of Thursday 11 to Friday 12 June 2026, at around 2 a.m., hooded, armed and not yet identified individuals, in a 4x4 vehicle, made a violent incursion into the commune of Barkedji, located 30 kilometers from the city of Linguère.

The criminals targeted the shop of merchant Badou Gueye. Awakened by the suspicious noise, the merchant's first wife left her room to investigate. Unfortunately, she was quickly overpowered and tied up by the assailants, who demanded she show them her husband's room.

Sensing their initial attempt was about to fail in the face of resistance, the criminals opened fire to force their way in. According to our sources, the gunfire wounded the shopkeeper. Before fleeing, the assailants managed to steal the mobile phone used for the shop's money transfer operations.

Preliminary investigations reveal that in order to commit their crime in Barkedji, the burglars had previously stolen the vehicle of a municipal agent from Linguère, namely Moustapha Fleur.

Alerted by local residents, officers from the gendarmerie immediately went to the scene to carry out the usual procedures. An investigation has been opened and the perpetrators are being actively sought by the security forces.

Si j étais riche j allais construire 20 prisons en plus et j'enfermerai ces bandits á vie avec des coups de fouets tous les jours comme petit déjeuner. Ensuite ils auront droit á un repas par jour après avoir bien nettoyer les rues du Sénégal.
