Braquage à Kahone : De l’argent et des téléphones portables emportés
Last night, Friday, a building in Kahone, a town east of Kaolack, was robbed. The building, which houses an office occupied by Indian nationals and Senegalese roommates, was violently attacked by a gang of armed criminals.
More than one million CFA francs, several mobile phones, and other belongings were stolen. An Indian national with serious injuries is currently being treated at the El Hadji Ibrahima Niass Hospital in Kaolack.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. According to witness statements, the assailants, more than ten in number, hooded and heavily armed, broke down the back door of the building.
Once inside the building, the criminals headed towards the room where the Indian nationals were staying. They forced the door open before stealing several mobile phones and over one million CFA francs.
Several instances of property damage were also reported. Sidiki Bayo, a resident and witness, deplores the situation. The residents of Kahone express their concern and emphasize the need to strengthen security in the town.
