Cambriolage chez Momo, garde du corps de Sonko : les précisions de la victime
Modou Diop, known as "Momo", bodyguard of Pastef president Ousmane Sonko, broke his silence after the broadcast of his burglary case.
Seneweb exclusively revealed that Momo's home had been burglarized. The perpetrator has since been apprehended by the Keur Massar investigation unit.
Following this revelation, Momo wanted to speak out himself to set the record straight and clarify the details.
Momo's statement
In a message posted on his Facebook page, he explains that the events took place during the preparation period for the Pastef Congress.
“During the preparation for the Congress, I went through a difficult personal situation which I handled with the utmost discretion. My home was burglarized and a sum of approximately 2 million FCFA, intended for my cousin’s work, was stolen.
Upon my return to the Assembly, I was informed of the burglary. Anxious to repay the money, I was even considering selling one of my plots of land. A few days later, four members of the Research Section showed up at my house accompanied by an individual who confessed to committing the theft.
After contacting the relevant authorities, I was informed that several other people had also been victims of this individual. Unfortunately, the money had already been spent. On the advice of friends and family, I didn't think it necessary to pursue the matter further and decided to put it behind me.
My biggest surprise today is seeing my name circulating on social media in connection with this matter. I therefore wanted to clarify these points so that everyone has the truth of the story.
"Thank you all for your understanding," he wrote.
