The National Office for the Fight Against Corruption (OFNAC) and the Authority for Control and the Fight Against Corruption of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (NAZAHA) signed, this Tuesday, August 25, 2026 in Vienna, a strategic memorandum of understanding aimed at consolidating their partnership in the prevention and repression of corruption and transnational financial crime.

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the GlobE Network's work, in the presence of the president of NAZAHA, Professor Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, and the president of OFNAC, Moustapha Ka.

Tracking illicit financial flows and recovering assets

Faced with the sophistication and cross-border nature of financial crime, this bilateral alliance aims to facilitate the exchange of operational information, the sharing of expertise, the continuing training of agents and mutual legal assistance during investigations into acts of international corruption.

This cooperation framework will also increase the effectiveness of both organizations in identifying, tracing and, in accordance with applicable legal provisions, freezing, seizing, confiscating and recovering assets of criminal origin.

OFNAC wished to acknowledge the crucial role played by the Ministry of African Integration, Foreign Affairs, and Senegalese Abroad in finalizing this agreement. The diplomatic and technical support provided by the ministerial services greatly facilitated the negotiations and enabled the process to reach a successful conclusion.

For the Senegalese anti-corruption institution, this memorandum marks the starting point of an operational synergy intended to generate concrete results through regular exchanges between experts. This joint commitment demonstrates the shared desire of Senegal and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to close the network to illicit financial flows and to improve public governance.

Les grands corrompus et corrupteurs risquent de ne jamais être arrêtés malheureusement. Un bon musulman doit tout faire pour combattre la corruption sous toutes ses formes.

ce qui intéresse les sénégalais que nous sommes c'est où est ce qu'on en est avec la déclaration de patrimoine que devaient déposer depuis lors des compatriotes qui ont violé la loi, dorment toujours tranquillement chez eux, ont accès à leurs avoirs, vaquent tranquillement à leurs occupations, ne courent aucun risque et pendant ce temps le kilo de viande est à 6 mille F, le litre de carburant à Mille F, la rentrée des classes pointe à l'horizon (inscriptions, fournitures et scolarité etc) Les factures d'électricité ont augmenté et rien n'a été dit là dessus (quand il ya baisse même de 10 francs sur la facture il y a une grande annonce de ça) Ya donc deux catégories de sénégalais Ce qui est clair c'est que les grands déliquants fraudeurs sur leur patrimoine sont parmi les mieux protégés d'entre nous
