Désenclavement du Narang Ouest : Aïssata Tall Sall promet de porter le plaidoyer à l’Assemblée nationale
The football final held in Koulandian, in the Kataba 1 district, served as a platform for a powerful plea for the development of Narang West. The local population used this sporting event to highlight the numerous challenges they continue to face.
Addressing a crowd from various villages in the area, Mamadou Lamine Diédhiou expressed his gratitude to the young people who had chosen him as the patron of this grand final. For him, this show of confidence was an invitation to continue his commitment to youth and the most vulnerable members of society.
The issue of improving access to the region dominated the discussions. The sponsor of the final expressed concern about the state of the roads and farm tracks serving several localities in Narang West. He particularly lamented that certain strategic roads continue to deteriorate despite the expectations of the local population.
For him, rehabilitating the roads connecting the various localities in the area is an absolute priority to improve living conditions, facilitate economic exchange, and allow producers to sell their harvests under better conditions. "If we want to curb the exodus of young people and give them hope, we must invest in their training and support," he stated.
Present at the event, Ms. Aïssata Tall Sall praised the commitment of the youth of Koulandian and the leadership of Mamadou Lamine Diédhiou. Having come to support this community initiative, the former minister stated that she had taken careful note of the concerns expressed by the people.
During discussions with residents, she said she was asked about several major problems, including access to electricity, difficulties related to maternity care, the need for support for agricultural groups, and above all, the worrying state of the roads.
After personally observing the realities on the ground, the parliamentarian affirmed her intention to bring these concerns before the national representation.
"This road deserves attention. My voice will be raised in the National Assembly to be the advocate for Koulandian, Kataba, Bignona and the entire Ziguinchor region," she promised to the applause of the public.
For the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, the development of this part of Casamance inevitably requires an improvement of basic infrastructure and a better consideration of the expectations of rural populations.
