DGPN, DPJ, commissariat central : Makhtar Cissé en prise de contact
Barely installed in his functions, the new Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Mouhamadou Makhtar Cissé, immediately went into the field to meet with the law enforcement forces under his supervision.
This Thursday, according to Libération, the country's top cop made a whirlwind visit to the General Directorate of the National Police (DGPN), located at the Cité Police headquarters. His tour began at the office of the Director General of the National Police, before continuing to the Directorate of the Judicial Police (DPJ).
He then visited the National Police Academy, now renamed the Training Directorate. Keen to "inquire about the working conditions of the men and women in the field," Mouhamadou Makhtar Cissé also inspected the control tower housing the National Police's strategic video surveillance service, among other departments.
"Under the hot sun", the successor of Me Bamba Cissé continued his journey to the Central Police Station of Dakar, where he was received by Commissioner Mamadou Tendeng.
This initial contact with the security forces is continuing, with the next step announced this Friday at the National Fire Brigade, the same source indicates.
