Diaobé-Kabendou: 105 motorcycles impounded and 3 illegal bars dismantled during a security operation

The Diaobé territorial brigade, supported by a platoon from the Kounkané ESI (Special Intervention Unit), conducted a security operation in the municipality of Diaobé-Kabendou. This intervention, aimed in particular at combating recurring motorcycle thefts and road safety issues, resulted in several seizures and arrests.

The fight against insecurity is intensifying in the commune of Diaobé-Kabendou. To address the recurring thefts of Jakarta motorcycles and strengthen road safety, the Diaobé territorial brigade, reinforced by a platoon from the ESI of Kounkané, conducted a security operation which yielded significant results.

At the end of this operation, 105 motorcycles were impounded, notably for failure to wear a safety helmet and failure to present the registration certificate (CMC), according to the report provided.

The operation also led to the dismantling of three illegal bars. The forces involved seized 26 30-liter jerrycans of palm wine, totaling 780 liters, as well as three 100-kg bags of beer, according to reports. Eleven people were also detained for identification. The fines collected during the operation amounted to 141,000 CFA francs.

Through this action, the security forces intend to strengthen the control of two-wheeled vehicles, prevent acts of delinquency and contribute to improving the security of the population in this commercial area of the department of Vélingara.

This operation is part of a broader effort to combat risky behavior on the roads and clandestine activities that could disturb public order.
