Drame à Thiès : Un ancien gendarme retrouvé pendu dans son verger
The tragedy occurred this Tuesday in Touba Peycouck, a densely populated neighborhood in the Thiès-Est district. A. Gueye, a former gendarme who had lived in the area for over fifteen years, was found dead, hanging from a tree in his orchard where he lived alone.
According to reports, the deceased had built a two-story house on his property, which he occupied away from his family residing in Dakar. The same sources indicate that the former gendarme had recently been suffering from a serious health problem. It was in this context that he was found hanged in his orchard. The news plunged his relatives and neighbors into shock.
Alerted, firefighters removed the body and took it to the morgue at the Ahmadou Sakhir Ndiéguène Regional Hospital in Thiès for an autopsy. The news caused great sorrow in the community, where Mr. Gueye was known for his discretion and his dedication to his orchard.
